There was a peaceful world before, before everything was changed. “Red Alert! Red Alert! All civilians please remain indoors. All battle personals proceed to closest battle stations immediately!” The sky was covered by dark smokes of buildings and wreckages. Shells were coming down like heavy rain drops. The city’s midnight was completely bright as Sun just raised above the horizon due to the lights from burning flames. The world suddenly seemed quiet. There were no sounds except explosions…The war between humans and “Dark Forces” already lasted for over 10 years. Day by day, Dark Forces consistently broke through defenses and strong-holds of human coalition force. Standing no chances, human officers ordered every survivor of human beings to hide underground and wait…
In the 22nd century, human beings had been dominated by a powerful man. They call him “The One”. He used his dark force to manipulate animals, including some humans. His Dark Force destroyed every land that could be seen. All humans were force to live in undergrounded barrier city. The biggest one was called “The Last Hope” which has the complete technology left. Because of the cruel massacre, there were only few millions alive inside The Last Hope with greatness lonely and fear. They had a plan to rescue their beloved Earth.
One day, a scientist, Joe, invented a time machine. It can bring them back to the year 2089 when “The One” born. They built up a rescue team that consists of 4 elite force, Jim, Ken, Andy, and Bruce. The leader Jim led them to execute the difficult mission. There was a side effect of the time machine. The traveler’s age would be changed based on the year they were traveling to. Since that, the members of the elite force would return to their teen years when they arrived 2089.
They spent a long period of time in their time journey. They felt a bit tired. Suddenly, they dashed against a hard object. All of them were fainted. Maybe a few hours later, the leader Jim first woke up, and he found that they were in a dark forest. It seemed to be their destination. Then he awoke his team members, started to prepare for their secret mission.
“Where are we now?” asked Ken, “We should be in a big and modern city!” Jim took out his PDA to check where they were. “Here it is. Here is the Last Hope’s location in year 2100,” said Jim. “See, it is totally different from 22nd century.” Everyone in the team looked around to find anything interesting; after all they were only children. All of a sudden, a strange figure moved quickly in the woods. They were shocked by the shadow, and became alerted to the surroundings. Then they remembered they were on a crucial mission.
Jim gathered Ken, Andy, and Bruce together, and he said “Now, we are not here for playing, we were here to save our future.” “We have undertaken this difficult task. We must complete it.” “Yes, sir. We will try our best,” answered the four members.
They started to look for “The One”. Jim took out his PDA again. This time he told everybody to check how “The One” looked in his childhood. All at once, Andy burst into laughter. Everyone wondered at his unusual act. “Do you guys remember the strange figure; it was him, “The One”.” Then they quickly took action to search for “The One”. They followed the strange shadow, but after an hour they found nothing, only a few footprints. They thought that the footprints could give them some information as a clue.
They followed the footprints. Nothing was found. At the end of the footprints, it was a deep cliff. As they felt disappointed, a hungry wolf was howling loudly just behind them. The leader, Jim tried to escape, but he was too scared to do so. The wolf howled again and started to enjoy his dinner. “Oh no! Mom! Mom! I miss my mom! Please don’t eat me! Please!” Jim said with fear. Others three members were shocked by their leader. Brave of three, they took out their gun and prepared to shoot the wolf. At the moment, a little boy rushed out behind the wolf and cried out “Stop! Stop! Please don’t shoot my daddy! Please!” Suddenly, the wolf disappeared. Jim stood up from the ground with pee on his pants, adjusts his glasses and checked the surrounding twice. When he was sure that he was safe, he started to speak out loudly “What the frak is going on here?? little kid! But any way, thanks for saving me.” The little boy smiled strangely.
“Uh…, hello everybody.” The little boy spoke out nervously. “Hello kid, who are you? And who’s the wolf? Your dad? What happened? “Jim asked seriously. “Well…actually, my dad is a scientist who studied wolf behavior. One day, he wanted to experience the wolf’s life by himself, so he invented a transform liquid which can achieve his wish. But, something bad happened. He couldn’t turn back to human. He has to eat a kilogram of meat everyday or he will lose control. Now he is getting crazier than before. So I have to take care of him all the time. I’m so sorry to frighten you guys.” said the kid.
“Well, nice to meet you, so what’s your name?” asked Jim. “I’m…, I’m …, I’m Tom.” answered the kid. The captain did not doubt at Tom anymore, but both Andy and Bruce were examining Tom’s strange smile. After they walked all day long and were shocked by the scary wolf, the team was exhausted. Tom, the kid, then brought them to his house for a rest. “We are now carrying out an important mission. We are finding a kid called the One,” said Jim, “Do you have any information about ……?” “NO, of course not, I know NOTHING about him,” Tom shouted loudly.
Something suddenly came up to Bruce’s and Andy’s minds. They took out their PDA, and found that Tom was the One. “Jim, he is the One,” shouted Bruce.
Best of the two members, Andy and Bruce draw out their gun as million times before, but the guns were turned into chocolates immediately. “Very interesting, I like it. And now-we duel.” Andy rushed in front of the One rapidly as light speed and punched him on his left face. Before the One came back to his senses, Bruce fiercely stroke him on his chest. The One was raged by them and turned himself into a fireman in flame. He started to strike back by throwing fire balls. One of a ball hit Ken’s button accurately and he was on fire. Jim started to use the blanket hitting Ken’s button to put out the fire. With a lot of screaming, the fire was finally put out, but his button had already burned. At the moment, Andy took out extinguisher and started to shoot while Bruce was throwing knives at the One. The pain was so intense, so all-consuming that the One no longer knew where he was…white-sharp knives were piercing every inch of his skin, his head was surely going to burst with pain. He was screaming more loudly than he had ever screamed in his life. “Sorry dad! I can’t turn you back from the wolf and safe you although I have tried so hard to practice my strange power for 3 years.” The One said with tears. He lost the battle. The four members hug each other and planed what to do next.
Jim thought that the One had saved his life before, so he decided not to kill him. “I would like to take you back to my age when you destroy the whole Earth,” said Jim, “I know your heart isn’t that evil, so I want to use your power to rebuild our world.” Jim and the One took the time machine, and then they returned to the 22nd century. Jim made the One use his incredible power to transform things. They worked together to build the dreamland in their heart. “Thank you for bring me here,” said the One, “you give me a chance to make up for what I do.” The last hope isn’t the last city of human beings. It is the One that construct a whole new world.
